We would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves to you.

Drs. Robert and Danielle Kauffman came to the region in 1989 after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic. After opening our first office in Merrillville, and practicing together for 6 years, Kauffman Chiropractic branched out to Lakes of the Four Seasons in 1995. The practices and the area experienced tremendous growth during this time.

In the year 2000 Drs. Robert and Danielle Kauffman built a building at 7620 East 109th Ave, in the new town of Winfield, on the corner of Randolph and 109th. Kauffman Chiropractic in Merrillville followed soon after in 2002, building a twin building on 84th Drive off of Broadway, between Applebee’s and Meijer. Whether you’re on your way to or from work, or have some time during the day, there is always an office conveniently located for your needs.

The Kauffmans have managed to balance family and careers staying actively involved in school, church and their kid’s sports activities. Their children Nick, Kristina, and Michael go to school in Merrillville and Crown Point. "Our offices and lifestyle are family friendly, and all of our children have been treated with chiropractic care since they were little."

Dr. Robert H. Kauffman is a native of the Detroit area and was introduced to chiropractic care at a young age through effective treatment of numerous sports injuries. After getting good results with chiropractic care and some good advice from his father, a chiropractic patient himself, he chose chiropractic as a career. He was enticed by the challenge of getting people better, especially athletes, without the use of drugs or surgery. He excelled in the sciences and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University, in their Pre-Med program.

He was accepted into Palmer College of Chiropractic, the oldest and largest Chiropractic College in the world. It is at Palmer where the two chiropractors met.

Dr. Danielle B. Kauffman is a native of Quebec City, Canada. While pursuing a degree in pre-med at Laval University in Quebec, she was introduced to a life long friend of her mothers who had a small chiropractic practice. This woman took the time to explain chiropractic to her and how she could have a great practice but also a home life and family, the seed was planted and Dr. Danielle soon was applying to Palmer College. The challenges the awaited her in coming to a new country, learning a new language, graduating from Palmer and eventually becoming an American Citizen helped her become the excellent chiropractor that she is today.

Heidi Johnson

Office Manager ~ Crown Point/ Winfield

My name is Heidi Johnson and I am the manager for Kauffman Chiropractic in the Crown Point / Lakes of the Four Seasons office since August of 2005. I have worked for many different type of doctors over the years such as an optometrist, audiologist, and dentist. When the position became available at Kauffman Chiropractic, I jumped at the chance to be one of their team. What is fascinating to me about chiropractic is to see the progress the patients make. When our patients follow their treatment plans, the results are amazing - and this is without drugs or surgery! I also love that there are many different techniques, and the results we get with sports injuries.

I share my home with my husband Scott, and daughter Samantha, son Kyle and two dogs, bear and Micah. When I am not working. I enjoy spending time with my family and going to all their sporting events. I also enjoy reading and walking.

Kelly Dooley

Director of Marketing / Office Manager ~ Merrillville

My name is Kelly Dooley and I am the Director of Marketing and Office Manager for Kauffman Chiropractic in Merrillville Indiana. Although, I am new to the Kauffman Chiropractic Team (May 2007) I have been a client since 2000 and a firm believer of chiropractic care and its wellness effects for over 15 years.

It is my wish to bring understanding to the public on the many benefits of chiropractic care and enlighten our current patients on continued maintenance. My unique background in retail, corporate management, organizational skills, computer skills, and personality will only enhance/add to the perfect experience at Kauffman Chiropractic.

Shawntina L. Neal

Massage Therapist ~Merrillville

My name is Shawntina L. Neal, I graduated from Sawyer Business College's, Massage Therapy Program in 2003. As a massage therapist, I have worked in various capacities, such as, sports massage for our local semi-pro basketball team, top notch day spas in Chicago, and for several recording artists as their personal massage therapist.

Currently, I am a massage therapy instructor at Olympia College, work side by side with Dr. Robert Kauffman, and maintain my own office within Kauffman Chiropractic in Merrillville. I am continuing my education with a myofacial release technique course. In my off work time I love spending time with my family.
